How to find the BPM of a song
Upload any audio file and the tool detects the beat and reports the tempo. Because tempo can be counted in half- or double-time, it also shows those alternatives - pick whichever matches how you count the groove. It's most accurate on tracks with a clear, steady beat.
Typical tempos by genre
- Trap: often written ~130-150 BPM (counted half-time ~65-75).
- Drill: around 140 BPM (half-time feel ~70).
- House: 120-128 BPM. Amapiano: ~112-115.
- Afrobeats: ~100-115 BPM. Hip-hop / boom bap: ~85-95.

It analyzes the rhythm of your track in your browser - detecting note onsets and finding the repeating beat interval - to estimate the tempo in BPM. Nothing is uploaded; the analysis runs entirely on your device.
How accurate is it?
Very accurate on tracks with a clear, steady beat. It can sometimes report half or double the felt tempo (a common ambiguity), so it also shows those alternatives. Live drums, rubato, or tempo changes make any tempo detector less certain.
Is my audio file uploaded anywhere?
No. The BPM finder decodes and analyzes the file locally with the Web Audio API - it never leaves your device.
